America = banana pudding

There are quintessential foods for every country. For me, America equals Nutter Butter banana pudding. Here’s the recipe, perfect for the upcoming July 4th celebration:

4-5 bananas (best if ripe – has the little brown dots), sliced

1 pound Nutter Butter cookies (broken into bite-sized pieces)

3 cups of milk (2 percent works fine)

1 cup sour cream

1 8-oz container of whipped cream (generic brand works fine)

2 small packges of vanilla instant pudding

Mix pudding and milk. Add sour cream. Fold in whipped cream. Layer sliced bananas, pudding/milk/sour cream mix, and cookies in a dish (12 x 12 works well). You can probably double this recipe and build a trifle.
