Florida’s Kennedy Space Center out of this world

Apollo-Saturn-centerI love Star Trek, but the world of NASA never captured my interest. As a result, I was skeptical about visiting the Kennedy Space Center in central Florida.

Was I going to spend the day watching my husband Gene and our friend David “Guss” Jones read [and discuss] every label in a monstrous warehouse of artifacts?

With much pleasure, I can now say the experience was an awesome combination of a bus tour, explanatory videos, an Apollo command center, a 3D IMAX movie, a shuttle ride simulation, stunning views from an observation deck, a rocket garden, and fun in a mock shuttle (Note: We’re way too big to be astronauts).
