Raining fun at Brewgrass Festival in Asheville

2013 Brewgrass Festival
Gene Beeco, co-owner of Moon River Brewing in Savannah, Georgia, and his wife Kristine K. Stevens at the 2013 Brewgrass Festival in Asheville, N.C.

The rain could not dampen the spirits — or water down the beer — at the 2013 Brewgrass Festival in Asheville, North Carolina. When things got muddy, we spread bales of straw, and kept on dancing and drinking.

The Beer

Rogue, Holy City, Hi-Wire, Lexington Avenue Brewery, Mother Earth Brewing, Terrapin, SweetWater, Outer Banks Brewing Station, Natty Greene’s Brewing Co., Magic Hat, Wicked Weed Brewing and, of course, Moon River Brewing of Savannah, Georgia.

If you want to go next year, calculate a strategy. There are only about 4,000 tickets for the event, and they sell out in hours.

NOTE: I heard that 2013 will be the last year that the event will be held at the city-owned baseball field. It event will be relocated to another venue due to neighborhood complaints.
