Savannah loves St. Patrick’s Day

The first St. Patrick celebration in Savannah was held in 1819, when a small group of Hibernians marched in a parade in remembrance of the death of Saint Patrick of Ireland. Now Savannah hosts the third largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the world, along with a Tara Feis Irish Celebration, the official greening of city fountains, and related parties may last for days.
